You are not alone, and you have never been alone.

At Mind Over Body, we are promoting body positivity by deconstructing where negative self perceptions come from, creating an inclusive community through the power of story sharing.

As a social action project based in Bangor, Gwynedd, we believe that body image can be a huge issue affecting people in all walks of life, and plan on running workshops, events, focus groups and activities for students at Bangor University interested in having a safe, inclusive place to discuss body image and lift each other up.

Story sharing

Through our workshops and our website, we will provide an opportunity for you to tell your story and to hear the stories of others, seeing that you aren’t alone.

Inclusivity

Open to anyone from any race or ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or walk of life, we leave our differences at the door and value everyone as equal individuals.

Body positivity

Positivity is a process, but we aim for every attendee to leave our workshops feeling less alone, feeling empowered, and recognising their worth.

I discovered that there’s power in my story, that everyone’s story can have a great impact.
